31 of our classmates, that we are aware of, have passed on through the years. Some passed while we were still at Arvin; others passed soon after we left Arvin; and others still have passed in the decades since we left those brick-lined halls for the last time. I have often heard of a classmates passing years after it happened, and it always makes me feel diminished. What is that saying, "...no man is an island." I choose to always remember you as you were at 16: Young, healthy, beautiful/handsome, and the whole world lay there just ahead of you. All of us have some part in each others lives, and like it or not, we are inextricably linked forever by the time we spent together at Arvin.
