Web Page Problems Continue:
We're in the process of swapping all our websites over to
Dreamweaver. However, we are currently still using
Frontpage for our page editor. As I mentioned
previously, the newer servers our provider uses no longer
offers Windows Share Point extensions and they don't work
well with Frontpage extensions. That means that we'll
be limping along here for at least another 30 days while I
get this mess sorted out and the new site built. Keep
sending us info and we'll get it posted both here and on
Facebook, the info I post here today may just as easily have
disappeared by tomorrow.

Luckett Receives New Pacemaker:
There are a lot of things I'd like to be remembered for as
being the first in our class to experience, but being the
first of our class to get a pacemaker implanted is not one
of them. That dubious honor falls to Gary Luckett, who
last week had a pacemaker implanted to help keep his heart
hitting all the right notes. I know you all join me in
wishing Gary a full and speedy recovery...

Gary Luckett Continues To Recover:
I spoke with Gary Luckett yesterday to see how he was doing
and he tells me that in order to keep his heart ticking
properly, doctors will be implanting a pacemaker later this
month. The doctors feel like this will take care of
the missed or irregular beats and should help Gary feel
stronger throughout the day. Gary has been able to be
back at work for some time now, but this last piece of
medical technology should help him get back to where he was
before the heart started acting up...

Class of 1972 Classmates Out And
About: While making my rounds
this week I ran into three members of the Arvin High School
Class of 1972 that I haven't seen in quite a while. I
ran into Gwen Irwin and her daughter at the FoodMaxx on Ming
avenue. She lives near there now that she's sold the
store in Hilltop and is semi-retired. That same
afternoon I ran into Donnie Carr in the parking lot at the
Lamont General Store. He told me he'd just bought some
more land in Oklahoma and was planning to retire back there
when the time was right. Donnie lost his Father in
February, he says his Mom is still plugging along. On
Friday night I stopped at the Ranch Market in Arvin on my
way home from Sycamore Canyon. They have great Oxtail
in their meat department and I wanted some for Pho. As
I was leaving the store I ran into Alice 'Medina' Ojeda and
chatted for a few minutes. She said she's busy caring
for her Mom and figures she'll be in Arvin for the rest of
her life.

Congratulations To Daniel
Rodriguez: Last month I noticed
that he has been selected as a Super-Lawyer and one of the
top 10 lawyers in Southern California. Daniel's
practice in Bakersfield is known throughout the state for
it's numerous successes. Daniel was at the most recent
annual get together and we all enjoyed seeing him and
chatting with him throughout the evening. He shared
with me as he left that he is now training to run a
marathon. As I recall he ran cross country and
wrestled, so if anyone has the stamina to pull it off it
would be a guy with that background.

System Glitches Leave Us Unable To
Update: For a month today we
have been unable to make any updates to this page. Our
Web Hosting company changed it's servers and that wreaked
havoc with our website and some others that I take care of
for other alumni groups. I hope that these latest
patches will allow us to once again be able to update at
will so we can get the latest classmate new out to you right
away. While you can always follow us on Facebook, for
many of you, this is the only way you have of seeing what's
up with our class. Thanks for your patience and keep
your fingers crossed that this matter is close to being
fully resolved.
